Coming up in March...Araluen-Fremantle Chilli Festival - The Esplanade FREMANTLE...FREE Glass of wine for subscribersWe will be at the Chilli Festival at Fremantle on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of March with our special Chilli Reserve - a mildly spiced cold white wine... and this year a very big hot and spicy RED as well! Members - you can have your first glass of wine free - just say "Hello Duncan(or Deb) - got your newsletter - where's my glass?". P.S. We don't use glasses, nor plastic. Off-site we use biodegradable corn starch drink cups. They are reuseable until they go to landfill and then decompose quite quickly. Also Coming up in March...A Vintage Weekend in the Swan Valley
Wine Club
The next delivery will be in March, just in time for Easter. It seems that some of you are finding 12 bottles per quarter too much wine! So, we now also have available 6 bottle packs starting at $110! For more information click here
What's Happening in the Vineyard - disease threat conquered
Picking and crushing has begun for vintage 2012 - and it's looking great. The late spring rains brought the threat of downy mildew - the scourge of the Swan Valley - but we are very pleased (and proud) to report that our vineyard has survived unscathed and there will be an abundant vintage this year! We have a young Frenchman staying with us for 6 months from Jura (near the Swiss border). Young Monsieur Mazier is doing an internship for this vintage in organic winemaking - he brought with him a bottle of Trousseau from his family winery - Cote de Jura. See my blog below for a very interesting local story about this wine variety!
