Our organic brandy is made in a pot still and the organic alcohols are made in a small column still. The main ingredients are the best certified organic grapes from our organic vineyard and rainwater from above.

We dis-still organic grapes to make very smooth organic brandy. 

Organic Brandy - Small cask brandy

Our certified Organic Brandy is double-distilled using a wood-fired pot still. The hand-made special organic brandy is evocative of the best brandies made at Cognac in France. Once the brandy spirit has been collected it is placed in small oak casks in the underground cellar to mature for a minimum of 3 years. The organic alcohol content is 40% by volume. This organic brandy has complex characters that include caramel, toffee, notes of orange, vanilla, smoky spice and cloves. This smooth brandy will delight you.

We reckon we have the best brandy in Australia, with two bronze medals at the Perth Royal Show with our 7 and 8-year-old organic brandy.

New Brandy classifications

The French brandy age grading system has been adopted by much of the world, although its use is not regulated outside of France. A set of new classifications were made and gazetted in April 2018. Brandys are labelled with one of the four following grades:

  • V.S.: “Very special” brandy, otherwise known as three-star brandy, designates a blend in which the youngest brandy has been aged in oak for a minimum of two years.
  • V.S.O.P.: “Very superior old pale” brandy, otherwise known as “reserve” or five-star brandy, is aged in oak for a minimum of four years.
  • Napoleon: A new classification, Napoleon brandy has been oak-aged for a minimum of six years (this used to be XO class).
  • XO: “Extra old” brandy is aged in oak for a minimum of 10 years, was 6 years
  • Hors d'âge: “Beyond age” brandy, a term created by producers who wanted to market their highest quality brandies which extended well beyond that standard aging scale, have usually been aged 20+ years.
